Acorn Adventure ltd.- Italy. 5/5/2009-10/7/2009
Age ranges 16-25, college, and university groups.
‘Head of mountain activities’- Trained the instructional team to deliver outdoor climbing sessions, high ropes courses and hill walking. Wrote session plans, training plans and risk assessments. Developed the equipment store and created a system of maintenance. 

Outward Bound – Wales 13/01/2009-4/5/2009
Age ranges 10+ school, college, university, community, corporate groups.
   ‘Instructor’- The delivery of high quality, tailored Outward Bound courses. Teaching ‘life skills’ through the medium of outdoor adventure. I had a high degree of pastoral care for young groups through-out their residential stay.

Expedition experience
I have lead, assisted, and participated on a number of peer and youth overseas expeditions. During which I have faced many challenges involved with organisation, fundraising, logistics’, research, participation, team selection, prolonged physical exertion, changes to itinerary, challenging behaviors, language barriers, illness & injury, foreign bureaucracy. During youth expeditions I often teach many transferable life skills such as; goal setting, dealing with pressures, overcoming hardships, problem solving, effective communication, leadership, team development, self reflection and evaluation. I will also teach many expedition skills e.g. Accountancy, assessing risk, camp craft and safety, cooking (on fires and a variety of stoves), navigation, trekking skills & equipment use, booking transport and accommodation, global awareness .   

2014 Borneo (leader)
In June/July I lead a three week expedition with a South African School group to Borneo. This included a four day Jungle trek in the Crocker National park (Sleeping in Hammoks and cooking on open fires), an accent of Mt Kinabalu 4095m, and a community project in Long Pasia.


2014 Morocco (leader)
In May I lead a short-haul expedition trekking in the High Atlas mountains with a School group.


2013/14 Cambodia and Vietnam (Leader)
In January I led a one month youth development expedition with world challenge, with an Australian group.


2013 Thailand (Leader)
In June I led a 3 week expedition with a South African school group to Thailand. Which included a 3 day trek in Khao Yai National Park, and a community project through the upland holistic development project, working with an Humong Tribe in northern Thailand. 


2013 India (leader)
In July I led a 2 week expedition with world challenge to India, with an all female team. Including trekking to 4000m in the Manail area. 


2012 Mexico and Belize (leader)
Expedition Leader for World Challenge on a 4 week youth expedition trekking and completing a community project in Mexico and Belize.


2012/13 Peru, Bolivia, Argentinia, Chile (Personal)
I spent 7 months Climbing, mountaineering and paragliding in these amazing countries.

2011/12 Vietnam (leader)
Expedition Leader on a 4 week youth Expedition trekking and completing a community project in an orfanage Vietnam.

2011 Poland (Leader)
A 2 week School expedition to Poland working for World challenge. Trekking in the high Tatrus mountains, and assisting at a rest-bite center for physically and mentally unwell children.

2011-Africa (Leader)
At the end of the summer 2011 I lead a expedition with 12 university students cycling self-supported to Morocco from the UK, sailing across the channel, and climbing Jebel toukal. This was working for Leading edge expeditions. I was the sole expedition organizer.

2010- Kyrgyzstan (Peer Led)
5 week Mountaineering expedition with two peers to the Torugart-too area of the Tein Shan mountains. We achieved three first accents and one 2nd accent by a new route.
I also spent 8 weeks personal mountaineering in the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. And 3 weeks winter ski mountaineering around the Mont blanc massive.

2009- Swiss Alps (Leader)
3 Week peer expedition mountaineering in the Berneese Oberland. I organised and lead the trip and taught all participants the alpine/traditional technical climbing skills (from no prior technical climbing experience). I also spent 8 weeks personal mountaineering throughout the European Alps.
2008- Corsica (Leader)
5 week peer expedition self-supported trekking the GR20 and rock climbing. I organised and lead the trip as well as teaching participant’s rock climbing skill from (from no prior experience). I also spent 3weeks personal mountaineering in the French Alps.

2007- Youth expedition to Ecuador (Assistant Leader)
4 week trip working with a large youth group, jungle trekking, non-technical mountaineering, canoeing, and mountain biking.
2006- Colorado (Member)
4 week youth Expedition Mountain biking self-supported across the Rockies on the Colorado trail.
2004- India (Member)
4 week youth expedition to northern India Mountaineering, trekking, mountain biking and white water rafting.
2003- Romania (Member)
2 week venture trekking self-supported in the Romanian mountains.

Freelance Experience

I have been working as a ‘Free-lance Instructor’ since 2009. Working for various companies, as well as for myself, to run a wide variety of outdoor courses, holidays, adventures and challenges. A large proportion of this work has been with Will4adventure Ltd, and Pure Outdoor Ltd. The bulk of this work has been a variety of Climbing courses, Navigation courses, Hill walking events and other adventure days. See the blog for more information.

Cochamo: 3 best lines were: Al Centro y Adentro 5.11c 1500 feet, Bienvenidos a mi Insomnio 5.11a 3000 feet, Las Manos del Dia 5.11+ 1800 feet
