Here is a short, poorly edited film from paragliding in the peaks; I am really enjoying my paragliding at the moment, it is refreshing and exciting to be learning something completely new...
Last week, on the 4th of April I ran a climbing course; as the weather forecast wasn't looking good, I asked the clients if they would like to re-schedule, but as they couldn't we went ahead.....however when I arrived in hathersage there was a foot of snow! in April! and it was still falling fast! So we had to escape to 'the edge' (an indoor wall), and still managed to have a fun exciting day..
Client feedback:
Despite the terrible weather and horrific road conditions, with a lot of help from James we managed to have a great day. I learnt everything I hoped to and more, the whole day was full of adrenaline fuelled laughs. Needless to say this is just the beginning of my rock climbing experience.
Many thanks
Nathan
Last weekend I went to north wales, to teach a friend some outdoor / multi-pitch climbing skills, the forecast looked bleak, however we managed to find dry rock for both days; spending a day at tremadog and a day at gogarth main wall.
Recently, on the 10th/11th of April, I was with a family of four, teaching rock climbing, specifically teaching the parents how to set up top-ropes, whilst keeping the their two young girls happy and entertained; also teaching them climbing skills. It was nice to see such an adventurous family!
Most recently I ran a family adventure day, this involved a treasure hunt, (geocashing), where the young girls would use the GPS to find hidden treasure (usually sweets, picture, sticker, or treasure map) which would be hidden in a 'squeeze' / weasel (a gap in the boulders that you have to squeeze through). The afternoon was spent abseiling and rock climbing.
