General freelancing

Pulling the crux of flying buttress direct (Unknown climber, taken on an evening solo after work)

Getting to grips with compass bearings (Intermediate Navigation course)

Having recently recovered from a broken tibia, I have started to get back to work. The last couple of weekends have been spent in the peaks working with Pure Outdoor Ltd. The Last (Bank Holiday) wkend in may I ran an intermediate climbing course, with two clients. The weather was stunning, and we had a great weekend, I even managed to fly and climb after work each day.

Topping out at Stanage (Intermediate climbing course)

The following weekend (1st-2nd June) & I was back up in the peaks, again working with Pure Outdoor Ltd. This time I was helping out with a stag do on the Saturday. This involved some bottem roping on windgather, some abseiling at the bridge in Cheedale, and some caving and climbing at stoney middleton. After work I even managed to fit in a quick paraglide at mam tor and an evening solo on Stanage. On sunday I ran an Intermediate Navigation course (NNAS silver) with one client. Another successful day, with excellent weather, and great results. Again I managed to fit in an excellent paraglide at Bradwell in the evening.

The next couple weeks are looking busy with work, and I will need to fit in some time to prepare leading two youth expeditions this summer with World Challenge. Firstly to Thailand, and then to India. I will also be leading a trip to Cambodia and Vietnam at Christmas time.
